Introducing my most handsome, loud, and chonky fur kid

Meet Mr. Moe!

This is actually my kitty and I guess I will make him the first featured pet just so you can all meet this sassy fur ball.

Just to sum up how it started versus how it’s going with photos, here you go:

I apologize for the poor quality flip phone camera photo on the left, that was from 2010! But check out the glow up!

From little hoodlum street kitten to big spoiled rotten model kitty.

This little dude was our unexpected rescue. My husband is to blame for that, and I love him for it!

These two found each other out on a paintball field.

This was back when I was living in Calgary and 4 months into my internship at the C.A.R.E. Centre. I had actually just flown back from Oklahoma where I took the Clinical Proficiency Exam, the last part of ECVFG program which I needed to complete to obtain full licensing to practice as a veterinarian in North America.

I drove up to Spruce Grove where the boyfriend was waiting with a ‘surprise.’

Well, if you guessed that this was my surprise you are right! Except my reaction was a little unexpected. Can’t remember exactly what I said but I’m pretty sure it was something like, ‘What is that?’ Lol! Oops.

Let me explain.

You see I had been begging the boyfriend to get a kitten for months! But not just any kitten. I had this vision of the ‘perfect’ kitten that I was looking for. A beautiful blue (grey), fluffy cotton ball of a kitten with blue eyes. I had actually come across a couple at the humane society so there wasn’t really any other option.

Well, clearly Mr. Moe is no blue, fluffy kitten. He was a scraggly looking, dirty street cat. Haha. Oops again!

Long story short – he is the most perfect, now plumpy, very loud, and very spoiled fur baby! And we are totally in love with him!

But, and a big but, he does not do well at the vet. He is the caution cat you can hear screaming throughout the entire clinic… insert eye roll. It’s embarrassing! So all you pet parents with cats that turn into Satan at the vet, I feel your pain!

If you stick around I’m sure you will read and see a lot of this guy, which is not a bad thing in my opinion!

He’s definitely living his best life and I’ll be sharing it with you all because his look of disapproval is totally worth it!
